Touring in Berlin

On Sunday we went on a city tour in Berlin. We rode about three hours on our bus. We had a German guide who had studied Finnish and spoke it very well. During the tour we had to change our route because of a running event. We didn't have a chance to go to the Brandenburg Gate, but we saw many other interesting places such as Angela Merkel's office building, the Berlin Cathedral and the Berlin Wall, where we had a little break.

On Monday morning we walked to the Museum Island, which is full of many different museums. Because it was Monday, most of the museums were closed, but we went to one of the museums, the Neues Museum, that was open. We didn't have a guide, which was a good thing because we could look around as slowly or fast as we wanted. We had just one hour time, which was too short to see all the things.

In Berlin we had two dinners together. Both restaurants were very close to our hostel. In the first one we could choose to eat pork or chicken, and in the second one bratwurst or Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad or fried potatoes. The food was really good on both days.
